PennDOT Changing Traffic Control for Gray’s Woods Exit of I-99

Drivers will soon see a change in traffic control for the Gray’s Woods exit on Interstate 99.

During the week of Oct. 26, PennDOT crews will remove the stop sign at the end of the exit 68 off-ramp in Patton Township and will replace it with a yield sign for traffic merging on to Skytop Mountain Road.

The change is being made after PennDOT’s District 2 Highway Safety Unit completed a study that concluded this yield condition will improve safety, according to the department.

“Yield Ahead” signage alerting drivers to the condition also will replace the existing “Stop Ahead” signage on the ramp.
